Before we knew it, summer was over and it was time for another school year to begin. For Callie this meant starting 2nd grade with Miss Ward. It would be her third year at Cassidy which means she should have taken it all in stride. However, on that first day when Sarah took her into the classroom Callie gave her Mom a look that said, please don't leave my side. Sarah knew Callie would be in good hands when Miss Ward noticed what was going on, walked over, and gave Callie some extra TLC to soothe the transition.
Reese was also excited to get into the spirit of the day and posed for some very cute pictures with her sister. Next year will certainly be difficult (for their parents at least) when the two of them will both be heading off to Cassidy. But for this year we soaked in the moment and the possibilities that the new school year might bring.
