Easter 2017

With such a mild winter Easter seemed to come quickly and the Easter bunny was ready for it.  This year the girls got sport themed Easter "baskets".  Who knew the Easter bunny knew about Under Armour bags, basketballs, and other necessities for the athletic girl in your life.  Regardless, Callie and Reese were tickled by what they found.

Easter is also a big day because it means that John actually wears a tie to church.  This is not only noticed by our family but is typically commented on by most of our church community, including the pastor.  The girls were dressed up pretty nicely too.

The traditional picture of Callie and Reese with the Abraham girls is one that is a little harder to take in because of how much they all have grown since the first year we did this.  Ella just keeps getting taller, and we know it isn't too long before she is taller than Sarah.  And Callie might not be receiving Claire's hand me downs in the future based on how things are looking here.

Not only did we have an Easter egg hunt at the church, but because the weather was so good we also had a hunt back at the house that included Lucy Gipe, who was in town staying with grandparents.  The girls are always excited to add a kid to the Easter mix and they had a great time.

And Lucy is not just any kid, but one with a ton of personality.  She was happy to have Callie and Reese to herself, meaning that she didn't have to share her time with Libby.  It also meant that there were more eggs for all, which also made them happy.

We also try and make sure we get a good picture of Sharon and Chris at Easter, since this is the holiday that they have claimed over the years.  It is hard to believe that we have now spent at least eight Easters together.

One thing that we love about our Easter tradition with the Chrismans is that they really know how to put together a good meal.  Sarah always gets the assignment of pulling together table decorations, and this year's edition is pictured here.  The girls are starting to help pull these efforts together, too, which makes it even more fun.
